Year-Round Field Trips for Youth

Hoyt Arboretum offers hands on, exploratory field trips aimed at connecting students to nature at this unique global forest. We host student groups from pre-k to middle school.

Each field trip is lead by our specially trained Arboretum Naturalists. Students are lead on an informative 90-minute journey through our tree and plant collections. Our field trips are aligned to Next Generation Science Standards. Trips will have a main focus on the adaptations and life cycles of trees that make them survive, grow and reproduce.

Field trips are provided for groups of youth including, but not limited to, school groups, scouting troops, homeschool groups, or any other group of at least 20 students (with an adult). We can accommodate groups of up to 60 persons, please give at least 3 weeks advance notice.

We ask for a $3/person suggested donation. Proceeds from the tours help fund educational programs and tree maintenance. Scholarships are available for Title I schools for transportation and trip fees.

Please fill out this form or email tours@hoytarboretum.org for additional information or to schedule your tour!
