About the Board

Members of the Hoyt Arboretum Friends Board of Directors are volunteers committed to providing sustainable, accountable and collaborative leadership, planning, supervision and evaluation for all of HAF's operations to ensure it fulfills its mission, with an emphasis on raising funds, making friends, and advocating for the Arboretum. Board members are elected by the Board to two-year terms and may serve a maximum of three terms.

The Board Development Committee recruits and nominates people from the community to serve on the Board of Directors. Criteria for board service are a passion for the Arboretum's mission, willingness to work on a team to fundraise for the Arboretum, and willingness to assume fiduciary responsibilities for the governance and stewardship of HAF's resources.
