Arbor Day Ceremony in the Hoyt Arboretum Magnolia Collection
The City of Portland held its annual Arbor Day ceremony at Hoyt Arboretum where Hoyt's world-class collection of Magnolias was featured on Monday, April 7, 2008. Three new magnolia trees were added to the collection.

Hoyt Arboretum Friends and others of Oregon's tree-loving and environmental stewardship organizations presented tree and earth-friendly activities & information
Children were admitted free on Saturday thanks to a grant from East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District.
