Join us for a creative day retreat inspired by nature and the season’s first harvest. This retreat will connect our bodies with nature, expand our minds with ancestral practices, and fill our souls with creativity in the beautiful setting of Hoyt Arboretum.

Let’s celebrate the season, nurture our connection to nature, and unleash our creativity. Whether through Qi Gong, a peaceful hike, or expressing ourselves through art, this retreat offers a unique opportunity to be present in the moment, celebrating ourselves and the season in the exquisite Hoyt Arboretum.

Day Overview:

10:15 am – Summer Qi Gong session to align with the energy of the season.

10:30 am to 12:15 pm – Guided tour of Hoyt’s renowned Conifer Collection, including redwoods and sequoias.

12:15 pm to 12:45 pm – Outdoor potluck picnic at Arboretum’s Viewpoint, featuring the season’s first harvests and a discussion on its significance in various cultures.

12:45 pm to 4:00 pm – Nature-inspired mixed-media art workshop in the library, complemented by seasonal refreshments.

About the instructor: Clara-Julia Peru is a poet, photographer, artist, and nature guide from Marseille, France. After a career in fine dining and event planning, in arts management and higher education, she currently tailors creative and seasonal workshops.  These workshops support a variety of educational, environmental, and health organizations that promote sustainability, artistic expression and wellness. She guides her participants with trust, respect, and self empowerment thanks to her skills in Emotional Focus Therapy, in MHFA, and as a Wilderness First Aid instructor.
