Hoyt Arboretum’s Holly Trail offers vibrant colors and textures to explore in the wintertime. The varied species and cultivars of holly range from creamy to deep green warm-toned berries from yellow to bright red. Historic significance and global origin will be discussed, as well as how one species of holly became known as invasive in the Pacific Northwest. After our tour of the collection, we’ll head to the classroom to warm-up and use pens or watercolors to create holly images on paper. Each participant can expect to complete 1-2 illustrations.
- Class size is limited, please register in advance
- Registration closes Friday, December 1st at 4:00pm
