Are you looking to enhance your outdoor space with trees, understory plants, and healthy soil? If the answer is yes, then join Peter vanOss this October to explore all of these facets to a great landscape. Peter will help you understand the soil history of our area and why the Willamette Valley is so fruitful. Then you will examine understory plants that support the trees and wildlife in our area of the PNW. He will help you visualize a landscape full of native plants and symbiotic relationships.
- Class size is limited and pre-registration is required
- Class will start with an indoor presentation, followed by a walk in the Arboretum
- Registration closes Friday, October 20th at 4:00pm
About the instructor: Peter vanOss is an arboricultural consultant and senior associate at Teragan and Associates, Inc. He first visited the Pacific Northwest during an internship while studying horticulture and landscape construction management in the Netherlands. Peter is following in the path that started at a young age with an arborist great-grandfather and a grandfather who owned a nursery, garden center, and landscape company.
