Making a Gift of Stock to Hoyt Arboretum Friends
Gifts of securities and mutual funds that you have owned for more than a year are a wonderful way to support Hoyt Arboretum. By making a charitable gift of securities you may be able to reduce or eliminate federal capital gains taxes and receive a charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of the assets upon transfer.
When making a gift of stock, we ask that you or your agent notify Ajah Maloney, HAF’s Development Director in advance or at the time of the transfer. We will then be able to watch for your gift, as well as note the gift appropriately. Ajah can be reached at 503-823-3655 or ajah@hoytarboretum.org.
