As the year draws toward its quietest turning point, we are invited to slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and make space for rest, reflection, and renewal.
Join us for a gentle, guided forest bathing walk among the beautiful evergreen trees of Hoyt Arboretum. Inspired by the winter solstice, this two-hour experience will offer an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and immerse ourselves in the sights, sounds, scents, and quiet wisdom of the winter forest.
Through mindful wandering, sensory invitations, moments of stillness, and gentle reflection, we’ll explore what it means to honor the season we’re in, release what we’re ready to set down, and welcome the possibilities of the returning light.
Together, we’ll make space for:
- Rest: Embracing the stillness and slower rhythms of winter.
- Rooting: Finding grounding and connection among the trees.
- Release: Reflecting on the year behind us and what we’re ready to let go.
- Renewal: Setting gentle intentions for the season ahead.
This is not a hike to conquer or a destination to reach. It’s an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and simply be present with the living world around us.
No prior forest bathing experience is needed. Come as you are, dress for the weather, and give yourself the gift of two hours in the forest.
Our intention: To leave feeling a little more grounded, a little more spacious, and more connected to ourselves, one another, and the natural world.
Rest. Root. Renew.
- Space is limited; please register online
- Registration closes Friday, December 18th at 4:00pm
