Donations in the name of a loved one can be made to the Hoyt Arboretum Friends’ (HAF) Silver Leaf Stewards program, plant and tree collections fund, education programs, the endowment fund, or general operations.
Hoyt Arboretum Friends, the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Hoyt Arboretum’s trees, trails, and programs, gratefully accepts commemorative gifts. You can make a commemorative donation to general operations online, or contact Anna Goldrich about making a donation to the following programs:
Silver Leaf Stewards
The Silver Leaf Stewards program is the perfect way to honor family members or pay tribute to someone who has touched your life in a significant way. With your tax-deductible gift, a metal leaf plaque will be installed on a rock wall in the arboretum engraved with your honoree’s name. Learn more about the Silver Leaf Stewards program.
Plant and Tree Collection
Gifts to the collections fund help to purchase or support Hoyt Arboretum’s trees and plants, new plants, mulch and other care supplies, trail maintenance, volunteer resources, the plant inventory public database, gardening equipment, and capital projects.
Education
Gifts to education support the ongoing education programs of Hoyt Arboretum Friends. Education programs provide a variety of services to the community including 30,000 maps annually, interpretive signage, guided tours, school field trips, classes and presentations, the plant reference library, plant identification labels, collection and tour brochures, the arboretum website, newsletters, community outreach, and the Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center.
Endowment
Endowment funds serve to provide resources for general operations or specific programs in perpetuity and are an important source of annual funding. Our endowment fund is managed through Oregon Community Foundation.
Commemorative gifts can be made payable to Hoyt Arboretum Friends and are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
