There is something for children of all ages at Hoyt Arboretum! We offer a variety of nature programs for youth, families, schools, and other groups, as well as self-led activities to get everyone engaged with the natural world.

FREE Youth Programs, Summer 2025

Starting June 26, 2025, Hoyt Arboretum Friends is hosting FREE nature education programs for youth and families every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, all summer long.

All Youth & Family Programs:

• Tree Time! children ages 2-6 accompanied by an adult explore nature together every Monday and Saturday morning.
• Pop-Up Nature! Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays all summer starting June 26, 2025.
• Seasonal Activities provide experiments, fact sheets, and more for self-paced discovery.
• Free Discovery Packs are full of tools to help your family engage with the Arboretum plants and animals.
• School field trips are available for guided and self-guided experiences on the Arboretum trails.
• Forest Field Day homeschool program for ages 5-14 every second Thursday and Friday
