Hoyt Arboretum thrives thanks to a collaboration between Portland Parks & Recreation and Hoyt Arboretum Friends, a membership-supported nonprofit organization. When you support Hoyt Arboretum through any of the programs below, you’re joining a dedicated community of members, donors, volunteers, and local companies in our collective mission of education, conservation, and recreation.

Stock Donations

Help conserve rare species of trees from around the globe, give children the opportunity to learn about trees and biodiversity, and preserve Portland’s living museum of trees for future generations. Make a gift to the trees today!

IRA Donations

If you are 70 1/2 or older, you qualify to make a charitable gift from your traditional IRA account. You can donate up to $100,000 per year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as Hoyt Arboretum Friends. This gift can satisfy part or all of your required minimum distribution. If you are interested in donating directly from your IRA we recommend contacting your financial advisor and/or tax professional.

Employee Matching Gifts

Did you know that many employers will match gifts their employees make to a nonprofit organization, often doubling the impact of your gift. If you're planning to support Hoyt Arboretum Friends, contact your human resources department to find out if your company offers workplace giving and matching gift opportunities.

Donor Advised Funds

A donor-advised fund is like a charitable investment account for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about such as Hoyt Arboretum Friends.
