Hoyt Arboretum is a free, public park and is open from 5am to 10pm daily.
The Visitor Center is open 10am to 4pm daily with exceptions. 503.865.8733

Winter Weather
Due to our elevation, road conditions at Hoyt Arboretum and around Washington Park are often more wintery than other parts of Portland. This can result in road closures and limited access to Hoyt Arboretum during the winter months. Here are a few tools for weather planning:

Holiday Hours
The Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center will be open on Martin Luther King Jr Day, Monday, January 19.
The Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center will be open on President’s Day, Monday, February 16.
Washington Park Free Shuttle Winter Hours
The Washington Park shuttle is operating from 10am-4pm daily. You can track the shuttle’s location at ewpshuttle.org.
If shuttle service has been cancelled due to winter weather, it is a good indication that you should not drive into the park.
