Join Brett Rousseau as she leads you through the journey of creating watercolor botanical illustrations based on HoytArboretum’s very own herbarium collection. We will use herbarium “vouchers” (plant samples that are pressed, dried, and mounted for cataloging Hoyt’s collection) as our muse. We will capture their leaves, stems, flowers, and fruits with our imagination and paint brush. This is a great stepping stone to painting plants from life.

Ticket price includes $5 for basic supplies.  You are also welcome to bring your favorite paper, pencils, pens, watercolors, and brushes.

  • Space is limited; please register online.
  • Registration closes Saturday, June 13th at 4:00pm.
  • Class details will be emailed closer to the program date.
