“I don’t know anything about consciousness. I just try to teach myself how to hear the birds sing.” Shunryu Suzuki
Tai chi qigong is a “moving meditation,” combining intentional movement, breath awareness, and a chance to focus on the moment. We will learn the 18 moves of this series over the 3-week session. Many tai chi moves use images from nature and we will emphasize the imagery and connection to the Arboretum. No experience is necessary, only an interest in exploring the many benefits of tai chi.
Class size is limited to 15 participants; registration is required. $3/members, $6/non-members. Participants are encouraged to attend the full series (June 11, 18 & 25), but it’s not required. There are no refunds for cancellations within two weeks of the class date.
