If you’ve spent time at Hoyt Arboretum, one of your favorite trails to explore might be White Pine. Join Casey Clapp for a walk to learn more about the interesting flora that you’ve always wondered about on your hikes. You will visit natives, pines, and other significant trees along the way. This will also be an opportunity to dive into the world of pines, their natural history, how to tell different species apart, and what is extra special about the native white pines.
- Class size is limited and pre-registration is required

About the instructor: Casey Clapp is the co-creator and co-host of the podcast Completely Arbortrary, a weekly podcast about trees and other related topics. An ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, Casey is a modern naturalist focused on education and science communication centered around trees and their impact on the world around them. He specializes in urban forestry and arboriculture and is passionate about sharing his love of trees with the people around him.
