Join artist Susan Slocum Dyer in this creative workshop where watercolor and pastel chalk come together. Susan will be your artistic guide as you explore common seedpods in the Portland area and transform them into watercolor expressions. Following the painting, class will become slightly more physical as you rigorously smudge pastels to build a fully colored background that brings everything to life while creating depth. Please wear clothing you don’t mind getting smudged with chalk or bring an apron! There will be sinks to clean chalky hands!

- Space is limited; please register online
- Registration closes Saturday, January 31st at 10am
- Ticket price include $15 for materials (paper, brushes, pencils, chalk, eraser, etc.)
- Class reminder & details will be emailed closer to the program date
About the instructor: Susan Slocum Dyer is a nationally published watercolor painter. For the past several years, while working as an elementary teacher, she carried both her pen and paintbrush across the Alaska coastal tundra and throughout its boreal forest.
