Hoyt Arboretum hosts a rich tapestry of native perennials.  Join instructor Ruth Williams on the trails to learn the features and botanical names of our native flora.  Explore how their traits are woven into our local ecology and natural history.  This program will happen rain or shine.  The group will walk on trails of varying slopes and surfaces including pavement, gravel, and dirt.

  • Class size is limited, please register in advance
  • Registration closes Saturday, April 11th at 10:00am
  • Additional details will be emailed closer to the program date

About the instructor: Ruth Williams is a consulting arborist and plant enthusiast with degrees in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture from UC Davis. She has been drawing and painting plants for 17 years. She teaches botanical illustration and plant identification classes at Hoyt.
