Thinking about pruning your trees but unsure where to begin?  Join Hoyt’s Nursery and Planting Specialist Brett Rousseau to discover the next steps.  Brett will walk you through why we prune, what to prune, and how to adjust your pruning technique depending on the type of tree and season. We’ll look at tree structure, types of growth patterns, and how to make good pruning cuts. She’ll discuss proactive vs reactive tree care and how to ensure your trees are living their best life.

  • Class size is limited and pre-registration is required
  • Registration closes Saturday, May 16th at 4:00pm

About the Instructor: Brett is an arborist, artist, and a native plant enthusiast. She works at Hoyt Arboretum raising the next generation of young trees in the collection. She is a freelance arborist, pruning trees in the Portland area, and a landscape designer with a passion to increase the amount of tree canopy and native plant habitat in our yards.
