To improve your bird photography it helps to move beyond that automatic camera settings. Please join wildlife photographer Mike Drewry for a workshop on how to do this by gaining more control with the manual settings on your camera. The class will cover equipment, camera settings, and techniques that will improve your photographic results. After the lecture we will take a walk in the Arboretum and practice the techniques you have just learned.
For the photo shoot, please bring a camera that has a manual (M) mode and a telephoto or zoom lens (200mm-300mm or grater) and a tripod (optional). Before coming please familiarize yourself with your camera’s manual mode settings. You should be able to adjust aperture, shutter, light meter settings, and focus point settings. If you are not familiar with these settings, please bring your camera’s manual.
- Space is limited; please register online
- Registration closes Friday, September 4th at 4:00pm
- Class details will be emailed closer to the program date
