July days are dry and sunny in Portland so why not rise and shine early to enjoy the shady canopy of the forest at Hoyt Arboretum? Join local yoga instructor, Gerald Scrutchions, as he guides all levels of yoga practitioners through a warm-up, gentle flow, and a restorative cool-down with the opportunity to practice mindful breathing.
- Class size is limited to 5
- All participants much register online and in advance
- Participants will meet promptly at 7:30am and will walk together to the yoga location
- prAna of Portland will provide yoga mats for participants to borrow or bring your own
Accessibility note: This class includes a short 1/2 mile hike along a compact dirt trail. There is an alternate walking route along a combination of paved and gravel roads. Hoyt Arboretum Friends will provide maps and instructions ahead of time, and the group will walk to the site together.
About the instructor: Gerald ‘Scrutch’ Scrutchions is a certified yoga instructor (200 HR E-RYT), Muay Thai Kickboxing practitioner with competition experience, Endurance Runner, High Intensity Conditioning (HIC) and certified fitness coach! Scrutch’s passion is to help others transform their physical appearance and mindset.
