This week’s collage practice will focus on flower language and book recycling.
Observe flowering trees and seasonal wildflowers popping-up along the trails at Hoyt Arboretum with artist, guide, and poet Clara-Julia Peru. Use the inspiration of nature to create thoughtful collages combining natural found objects, recycled materials, and seasonal significance. Learn how to plan and complete an original work of art from pencil sketch to finished collage. The course covers how to explore ideas, incorporate spatial drawing techniques, as well as apply basic color theory and collage techniques.
- No previous art experience necessary; just bring your love of learning and creativity
