Hoyt Arboretum Friends’ members, are you ready for the new season? Join Hoyt Arboretum’s Curator Martin Nicholson for the return of our annual Fall Colors tour through Hoyt’s nationally-accredited Maple Collection! Enjoy one of the best spots for fall foliage-viewing in all of Portland, as well as the in-depth knowledge of our experts.
The Fall Colors Tour will occur rain or shine. Dress for the weather, and wear comfortable shoes for walking on trails. The route is less than 1 mile and will include some ups and downs (and a short staircase) along the way. Most of the tour route will travel on well-graded packed dirt or gravel trails.
Pre-registration is required (group size is limited). Tour participants will need to wear a mask and be prepared to maintain physical distance with the tour guide, other tour participants, and park visitors. A voice amplifier will be used to help people hear the tour while staying spread out. Exact meeting location details will be sent out prior to the tour date.
Tours are scheduled on Sunday, October 24 at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Group size is limited to 20 people for each tour. Please be sure to confirm your timeslot when you register.
