Guided tours are cancelled due to COVID-19.
Exploring Hoyt Arboretum’s 189 acres on our 12 miles of trail isn’t just a hike – it’s a worldwide tour of trees from around the globe.
The Arboretum is open year-round for self-guided hikes, aided by placards indicating tree species. Interpretive signs along your walk offer more information about the various collections. Pick up a free map in the Visitor Center to find suggested routes or download the map online.
Drop-in Guided Tours
From April through October, knowledgeable volunteers offer guided tours of the Arboretum. Tours depart from the Visitor Center every Saturday and Sunday at 11 AM and 1 PM, run for about 90 minutes, and have a $5 suggested donation (but are always free for members!). Tours explore a variety of themes – check the Events calendar to find upcoming tour topics. No reservation is necessary — simply show up and learn!
