Become a forest detective and enlist all of your senses as you learn how to tell the stories of the trees and forest surrounding you. Join author, Jane Billinghurst, on a guided walk along Arboretum trails as she shares ways of closely observing nature from her most recent book, Forest Walking: Discovering the Trees and Woodlands of North America. Learn how to see the history and relationships in nature by looking closely at tree trunks, branching patterns, lichens, moss, cones, etc. Apply the skills you gain from this program to any forest you visit.
