Are you ready to take your mushroom ID to the next level but not sure where to start? This class breaks down the basics for beginners about different types of microscopes, their parts, and other supplies needed to get started. We will also talk about mounting techniques, chemical reagents and some of the basic physical features to look for when viewing mushroom parts in the micro world!

About the instructor: Leah grew up in the Midwest with nature loving biologist parents who taught her how to forage for edible plants. In 2015, she was elected to the board of directors of the Oregon Mycological Society, where she currently also serves as a teacher, speaker and identifier. After 8+ years of intense study, she now takes every opportunity possible to share the love of fungi with others and inspire them to begin their own journeys.

All lectures will be recorded and available to participants for 48hrs following the class.
