Celebrate National Pollinator Week with Hoyt Arboretum and Bee & Bloom as we discuss the elements of bee-ing a friend! This workshop will be held virtually over Zoom.

Bees are an important resource to protect, their pollination services unparalleled in the animal kingdom. Ensuring our local ecosystems continue to thrive, and keeping our bellies full, it’s time for us to give back to the ~500 bee species living in the PNW.

In this class we will cover:

  • Constructing habitat for mason and leaf-cutter bees
  • Providing safe spaces for bumble bees and solitary ground-nesting bees
  • Planting optimal forage for bees all blooming season
  • Bee-friendly pest prevention strategies in your homes and property
  • Bee-friendly patronage

Sign up below to be added to the registration list. Instructions and the link to the Zoom meeting will be sent out to attendees before the workshop time.
