Lichens are a fascinating and essential part of Pacific Northwest ecosystems. In this workshop, we will take a deeper dive into lichens with biologist Dr. Hannah Prather. This workshop is for intermediate learners of lichen study and will focus on identification past beginners basics of identifying lichen. Great for participants of Intro to Lichen ID and are looking to learn more!

About the instructor: Dr. Hannah Prather is a postdoctoral researcher at Reed College. Her research on lichen and bryophyte ecology has taken her from the tops of towering trees in the Pacific Northwest, all the way to the polar landscape of Antarctica. She regularly leads local lichen hikes and in her spare time enjoys biking, traveling and climbing trees.

All lectures will be recorded and available to participants for 48hrs following the class.
