Young artists will use nature’s treasures to create unique sculptural pieces!  Participants will be guided to create animal figures, mixed media collages, shadow boxes, or abstract art with wood, cones, stones, clay, plants, and eco-friendly art supplies. We will learn about the artistic process and artists who work with found object sculpture while thinking about the beauty of nature around us.

  • This class is designed for children ages 5-10 (optional drop-off with a signed waiver)
  • Registration is required
  • Fee includes supply costs

About the instructor: Angela Ruggles is a nature and art educator and certified yoga instructor (RYT 500 & RCYT). She is the founder of The Nature Atelier, where she explores art, movement, and the environment to inspire a passion for protecting the planet. Angela has a background in museum education and paleoethnobotany and is a self-taught artist. She received an MS in International Museum Studies and a MA in Anthropological Archaeology.
