Join tour guide Ken Denniston to learn about the native conifers of northwest Oregon. This time, learn about those that grow above 2000 feet elevation. We’ll also get tips on how to identify each species, including special attention given to the four species of firs.

Public tours are held rain or shine. Dress for the weather, and wear comfortable shoes for walking on trails. The route is approximately 1 mile and will include some ups and downs along the way. Most of the tour route will travel on well-graded packed dirt or gravel trails.

Masks are no longer required for outdoor programs in Portland parks. If you are feeling any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay safe and stay home.

Registration is required (group size is limited). Meet at the Visitor Center.
