Yoga means ‘union,’ in Hindi, and – when practiced outdoors – the union with nature, humanity, and the elements is powerful.
Improve calm, balance, flexibility, and strength in this inclusive class designed for everyone. Certified yoga instructor, Brynna Hurwitz, is a Yoga for Seniors Exercise Specialist, Fall Prevention Specialist, has studied Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and taught yoga and meditation for over 15 years.
Class size is limited; registration is required. Participants should plan to arrive 5 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time to check in at the Visitor Center (4000 SW Fairview Blvd). Please plan to bring your own yoga mat, water and any other supplies that you need. Masks are no longer required for outdoor programs in Portland parks. If you are feeling any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay safe and stay home.
By registering below each participant hereby releases Hoyt Arboretum Friends (HAF) and Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) and all its employees, volunteers and other agents from any and all liability for injuries that may be sustained during this program. Participants assume full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of other participants in the group. In case of illness, accident, or other incapacity, participants are responsible for their own medical expenses, whether or not they authorize them. Activity leaders may decline participation by anyone deemed incapable of safely participating or not properly equipped.
