Redwoods (Sequoiadendron giganteum) are the world’s tallest trees and can live for hundreds - even thousands - of years. Their role is critical in building a protective canopy that nurtures the surrounding ecosystem and helps it thrive. Redwood trees are among the world’s treasures.

Like redwoods, there are many people who support and nurture Hoyt Arboretum by giving of their time, talent and treasure. We invite you to play an important part in our long-term efforts to sustain the arboretum by becoming a member of the Sequoia Legacy Society and naming Hoyt Arboretum Friends as a beneficiary in your planned giving. Please consider making a gift to the Hoyt Arboretum Friends Endowment and/or include Hoyt Arboretum Friends in your estate planning to help support the ongoing work of caring for the trees, trails and programs of Hoyt Arboretum.

You can help ensure that Portland's world-class arboretum not only provides enjoyment and education for our community today, but is part of Portland's role in supporting global conservation efforts to preserve plant biodiversity and endangered plant species.

We invite you to visit the Redwood Collection here at Hoyt Arboretum. Be inspired by our giants and grow your legacy through supporting the arboretum for many years to come. You can be a critical part of Hoyt Arboretum's "protective canopy" for future generations of tree stewards and for the world.

If you would like to make a gift to the endowment or include Hoyt Arboretum Friends in your estate planning, or if you have already included us in your will and would like us to know about your commitment, please contact Anna Goldrich at 503.823.1648 or anna.goldrich@portlandoregon.gov or contact us using the form below:
